Edith Hunt Young

Mrs. Edith Veigh Hunt Young, 88, of Holloways Church Road, passed away Saturday, June 6 at Lexington Health Care after a battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Craig Barnhill. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Young was born July 10, 1920 in Davidson County to William Sidney Hunt and Crissie Jane Trantham Hunt. Edith was a member of Holloways Baptist Church and retired from Link-Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dolan Young, who passed away on September 27, 1995; four brothers, C.W., Ulus, David Lee, and Ray Hunt; and three sisters, Elizabeth H. Welch, Gladys H. Alley, and Eula Mae H. Walker. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
