Dr. Laura Young

Dr. Laura Elizabeth Fritts Young, age 90, formerly of Fairview Drive, died Friday, June 27, 2008 in Lexington Health Care. A Committal service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 30, 2008 in Forest Hill Memorial Park, with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM at Fairmont Presbyterian Church where she was a charter member, conducted by Rev. J. Randy Hall. Laura was born in Davidson County, NC on April 27, 1918 to the late George Shirley Fritts and Lula Elizabeth Wilhelm Fritts. She was a graduate of Lexington High School, Mitchell College in Statesville, and the Lincoln Chiropractic College in Indianapolis, Indiana, and had practice as a Chiropractor in Lexington for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Chapter 98, and the DAR. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Claude Cicero Young. Laura is survived by a daughter, Beth Young of Lexington, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Carlton and her husband, Dewey of Lexington; a brother, Ray Fritts and his wife, Mary of Lexington.
