Dr. Edward Barrentine, 74, of Forestdale Dr., Jamestown, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Hospice Home at High Point. Services will be private. Mr. Barrentine was born March 25, 1943 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Edward Williams, Sr. and Olita Gore. A US Army Veteran, he was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith, and retired from the NC Department of Corrections. Surviving are his wife Loretta Barrentine; brother Larry Barrentine; and special friend Jack Webb of Jamestown.
