Dorothy Carol Haynes Townsend

Dorothy Carol Haynes Townsend, 63 of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Langley officiating.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home.

Carol was born on July 6, 1961 to the late William Quentein Haynes and Bernice Brown Haynes.  She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Christian Church in Ramseur, NC.  She enjoyed reading - especially the Bible, as well as shopping, going out to eat, playing games on her tablet and working search-a-word puzzles.  She was formerly employed with Parkdale Mills as a lab technician.

Surviving are her sister, Nancy Motley (Kenneth) of Lexington, niece, Miranda Odom (Caleb) of Reedy Creek, great nephew Braydon Odom and great niece, Ophelia Odom as well as a host of cousins.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
