Dorothy Juanita Nester

Dorothy Juanita Roberts Nester, 93, of Sink Farm Rd., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ  Sunday December 31, 2017 at Alston Brook.  Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday January 4, 2018 at Lakeview Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. David Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Nester was born in Madison County,NC on July 18, 1924 to the late James Wesley Roberts and Deliah Ponder Roberts. She was co- owner A-1 Plumbing and Repair, a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Western Star Auxiliary. “Momma Dot” taught Sunday School at Lakeview Baptist Church for 37 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Paunee Nester, two brothers and two sisters, and a son-in-law Ed Yarbrough.  Surviving are daughters, Gail Yarbrough  of Lexington, Dianne Morris of Holly Hill, Fl., sister- in- law, Mary Roberts of Florida, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
