Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Freeman Grubb, 79, of Horseshoe Neck Road, Lexington died Thursday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Grubb was born March 21, 1928 in Rowan County to Leonard Allen Freeman and Carrie Lee Edwards. She had worked for the US Postal Service and was a seamstress. She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church and had served on the Davidson County Board of Health. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thomas Grubb, whom she married on June 2, 1945; and a grandson, Dale Grubb. She is survived by her sons: Paul Grubb, and Henry Grubb and his wife, Cheryl, both of Lexington; her brothers: Carl Freeman and L.A. Freeman, both of Lexington; a sister, Christine Miller of California; and a granddaughter, Natalie Grubb. There will be no public visitation.
