Doris Snider

Doris Faye “Dottie” Loy Snider, 81 of Shoreline Drive, died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Lexington Health Care in Lexington. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ray Howell, III officiating. Mrs. Snider was born February 9, 1928 in Alamance County to the late Rev. O.C. Loy and Addie Baker Loy. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Dr. Bobby Eugene Snider, and one daughter Rebecca Chaun Snider Pierce. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She is survived by three sons, David Snider and his wife Rhonda, Mark Snider and his wife Jocelyn, and Eddie Snider, all of Lexington; one brother Bob Loy of Lexington, her grandchildren, Martha Snider, Elizabeth Buckner, Leah Snider, Chris Snider, Preston White, Matthew Snider, John Snider and Alex Snider; and a great grandchild, Payton White. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 436, Lexington, NC 27293.
