Mr. Donald L. Rives, 60, of West Second Ave., Lexington, N.C., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Duke Medical Center in Durham. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, at The Historic Chapel of Grace Episcopal Church, conducted by Rev. Dr. Tom King and Rev. Bonnie Duckworth. Interment will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery. Mr. Rives was born September 27, 1947, in Guilford County to Landon Rives, Jr. and Ruby Faircloth Rives. He was a graduate of the International Institute of Interior Design in Washington, D.C., and was a Commercial Interior Designer. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. Mr. Rives is survived by his wife, Anne McCabe Rives of the home; a daughter, Heather Rives Severino and husband, Dean A. Severino, of Greensboro; and his parents, Landon and Ruby Rives of Greensboro. The body will be taken from Piedmont Funeral Home to the residence on West Second Avenue on Monday. The family will see friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday, at the residence.
