Dewey Odell Black

Dewey Odell Black, 91, of Smith Farm Road Lexington  passed away Tuesday March 19, 2019 at Piedmont Crossing.  Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday March 23, 2019 at Emanuel Reformed Church where he was a member, with the Rev. Ricky Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Odell was born in Davidson County on August 27, 1927 to the late Luther Black and Pearl Myers Black. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Elwood Black. He served in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
