David Harrell

David Harrell, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on September 22, 2026. He was born on February 7, 1953, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Buster and Mary Harrell. 

David lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He worked as a welder with Mickey Body Co., a trade that reflected his steady hands and dedicated spirit. Outside of work, he found great enjoyment in hunting, fishing, and playing pool. These were the pastimes that filled his days with friendship, relaxation, and many treasured memories. He also attended Galilee Missionary Baptist, a place that was part of his life and community.

Above all, David’s life was centered on family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Elizabeth Harrell, whose love and companionship were an important part of his journey. He is also survived by his son, Joshua Harrell and his wife Heather; his daughter, Ellen Hunt and her husband, Jerry; his brothers, Kenny Harrell and Tom Harrell; and his grandchildren, Ava and Brody, who added special joy to his life. Each of them carries forward cherished memories of time shared with David and the lasting imprint of his presence.

David will be missed for the love he gave, the work he did, and the familiar comfort of his presence. May those who knew and loved him find peace in remembering the life he lived and the moments that made him so dear.
