David Hanes

Mr. David Harold Hanes, age 63 of West Center Street Extension, Lexington, NC died Friday, January 21 at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 25 at Maple Grove Church of the Brethern conducted by Rev. Mark Craddock and Brother Dean Thomason. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 24 at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. Mr. Hanes was born April 3, 1947 in Davidson County to David K Hanes and Elsie Huffman Hanes. He was a veteran of the U S Army and was employed as a foreman with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Faye Walser Hanes of the home, a daughter Melissa Faye Hanes of Lexington, a grandson Wyatt Butcher of Lexington, a son-in-law, Michael Butcher of Lexington and an uncle, Joe Glenn Huffman of Clemmons.
