Darrell Whitley

Wesley Darrell Whitley, 40, of Chestnut Street, died at his residence on December 6, 2011 after an illness of several months. Visitation will be held Friday, December 9 from 10:30 to 12:00 at First Lutheran Church Family Life Center. Family and friends are invited to the visitation and should enter from the YMCA side of the church, (this being the back of the church.) A private family service will be held according to Darrell’s wishes. Mr. Whitley was born in Davidson County on May 4 1971 and has been a lifelong resident of Davidson County. He was a prominent attorney in Lexington, NC, after graduating from South Davidson High School, NC State University, and Campbell University School of Law. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, serving on several committees with the church. He was a very generous and loving man. He is survived by his wife Mary Berkley Lohr Whitley of the home; two sons Jarrett Whitley and Wyatt Whitley; one step-son, Lucas Antinori; his brothers and many other family members and close friends.
