Darrell Junior Steed,68, of Carolina Acres passed away Tuesday July 18, 2023 at Novant Health
Rowan Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church.

Darrell was born in Davidson County on January 6, 1955 to the late Jessie Junior Steed and Maxine Workman Steed. He was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Michelle Marie Trent, his sister, Rhonda Steed, brother, Donald Steed, and nephew Donald Lee Steed.

Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Laura May Gilpin Steed of the home, sons, Darrell Alson Steed of Lexington, NC, Jessie Dean Steed of Trinity, NC,  George Allen Howard of Lexington, NC, daughter, Shannon Leonard of Linwood, NC,  sisters, Shelia Kennedy of Trinity, NC, Sherry Miller of Trinity, NC and Brenda “Missy” Steed of Thomasville, NC, grandchildren, Zachary Steed, Joshua Steed, Tianna Steed, Nevaeh Hunter, Haven Steed, Jaylynn Steed, Addilyn Steed, Sumer Trent, Stormi Trent, Cherokee Howard, Christopher Howard, Brendan Howard and Ethan Howard, nieces, Crystal Rogers, Tracie Kennedy, Sonya Brummett, Drema Steed and Danial Hale, nephews, Joey Brummett, Chad Kennedy and Jessie Steed.
