Daphne Church Byrd

Daphne Church Byrd of Walser Road passed away Friday at her home.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Walser officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Davidson County on March 11, 1939 to the late Everette and Leona Miller Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Leroy Byrd, Sr., she attended Near Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Dixie furniture.

Surviving are sons, David Byrd (Debbie) and Dewey Byrd, Jr. (Alma) of Lexington; daughter Donna Causey (Phillip Jones) of Lexington; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.
