Danny Lee Spry

Danny Lee Spry, 61, a resident of Wafford Circle, Lexington, N.C. died June 28, 2009 at his home after an extended illness. He was very devoted to his family and his feline children. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. Mr. Spry was born April 24, 1948 in Davidson County to the late Melvin Spry and Emma Lee Leonard Spry. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Addie Mae Owens Cross, and father-in-law Lester Cross, and a nephew Brad Kluttz. . He was a retired from PPG Industries May 1, 2002 with 24 years service. Mr. Spry attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church of Lexington. Surviving is his wife, Lou Cross Spry after 37 years of marriage of the home, a sister-in-law Linda Randolph of Lexington, a brother-in-law Steve Cross and his wife Karen of Lexington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, Chance Kluttz and his wife Linda, Charles Cross and his wife Donna, Tanya Williams and her husband Ronnie. Mr. Spry was a great uncle to Jill Kluttz, Carly Luck, Zane Kluttz, Jacob Williams, Olivia Williams, Sean Clark and Mitch Clark. The family will receive friends following the service at Piedmont Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Steve and Karen Cross, on Wafford Circle.
