Daniel Owen

Mr. Daniel Edward Owen, age 63 of Pine Ridge Road, Lexington, NC died Sunday, February 6 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 10 at Beulah United Church of Christ conducted by the Revs. David Purdy and Gina Colorio. Burial with military rites will follow in the Beulah United Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mr. Owen was born October 28, 1947 in Davidson County to Baxter Herman Owen and Pauline Bessie Owens Owen. He was a graduate of Catawba College and worked as an accountant with Thomas Manufacturing Company. He served as treasurer of Beulah Church for more then 30 years and was a veteran of the U S Army. He was a former member of Welcome Civitan Club and a Ham Radio Operator. Mr. Owen is survived by his wife, Judith Tesh Owen of the home, daughters Danielle Owen of Rockville, Md and Abby Soffe and husband James Soffe, Jr. of Raleigh, and a grandson, Owen James Soffe.
