Daisy Mae Strickland

Daisy Mae Smith Strickland, 74, of Cow Palace Road, died Monday February 27, 2017 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday March 4, 2017 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Strickland was born in Perryville, Md. On October 31, 1942 to the late William Ardie Smith and Irene Anna Kenney Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Temple Strickland, son, Paul Mash, Jr., daughter, Paula Jean Williams, brothers, Ardie Lee Smith, Charles Willis Smith and Johnny Smith, sister, Elise Virginia Poff. Surviving are, step sons, Anthony Dwayne Strickland and James Alexander Strickland of Lexington, daughters, Barbara Ruth Eller of Lexington, Patsy Ann Harrington of Northeast, Md., brother, Raymond “Frankie” Smith of Perryville,Md. Sister, Mary Elizabeth Bay of Jasper ,Ga. 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
