Chubby Trollinger

September 9, 1931 — February 5, 2008

Noah Charles “Chubby” Trollinger, 76, a resident Enos Drive, Lexington, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Tyro United Methodist Church, where he was a member with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Interment will follow in Old Wesley Chapel Cemetery Chubby was born in Newport News, VA on September 9, 1931 to the late Arthur Trollinger and Mary Swicegood Trollinger. He was a retired employee of Roadway Express, retiring after 30 years service, and after retirement worked for Hanes Paving Company. He was a member of the Faith, Hope and Love /Willie Meachum Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Men and served on the Cemetery and Bus Committee at his church. He was a retired member of the Tyro Volunteer Fire Department, and was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Nancy Foster Trollinger of the home, a son, Wendell Trollinger and his wife, Corrine of Lexington, two daughters, Ellen Rickard and her husband, Scott of Lexington, and Cynthia Johnson and her husband, Paul of Smyrna, TN. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jennifer Biggerstaff, Brittany Trollinger, Logan Trollinger, Brandon Teague, Lawson Teague, Samantha Rickard, Ethan Rickard, Sonny Rickard and two Great-grandchildren Tyler and Brian Biggerstaff Memorials may be directed to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Fairview United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 341 Hot Springs, N.C. 28743. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
