Charlotte Wilson Volpe

Mrs. Charlotte Wilson House Volpe, 97, of Westover Dr. died Monday, December 9, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Lexington City Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Luck officiating. The family will be at the home of Grady House at all other times, located at 1223 Thomason St. Lexington.  Mrs. Volpe was born November 10, 1922 in Davidson County to the late Grady Wilson and Esther Cross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Volpe, her first husband Tom House Sr. and her daughter Lorraine House “Butch” Furr. Charlotte was formally employed with Hoover Chair Company and was a volunteer at the Outpatient Center at Lexington Memorial Hospital for 22 years.   Surviving are her sons, Grady “Buzzy” House  (Ann) of Lexington and Thomas Thurman “Buck” House Jr. of Lexington. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Scott House (Jennifer), Michael Furr, Doug House (Tracy), Tracy Dingwall (Rick) and Ronnie House, along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and special friend Bill Thompson.
