Charles Hinkle Price

Charles Hinkle Price, 77, of Hillcrest Drive, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Lexington Health Care. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Banks D. Shepherd. Interment will be in Lexington City Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3074. Mr. Price was born Dec. 7, 1929, in Davidson County to Vernon Gaston Price Sr. and Viola Hinkle Price. He attended Catawba College, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Lexington VFW Post 3074. He was a retired employee with the City of Lexington and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was one brother, Vernon Gaston Price Jr. Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Price of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Julie K. Price of Lexington; one sister, Louise Price Ferguson of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Joyce Price of Lexington; two nieces, Valerie Price of Lexington and Melinda Mileham of Charlotte; and two great-nephews, W. Dunning Mileham IV and Scott F. Mileham. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
