Charles McConkey,94, of Lexington died Thursday at the VA Hospice House in Salisbury. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday October 26, 2018 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with military honors provided by the Davidson County Honor Guard. Charles was born in Chattanooga,Tn. on August 24, 1924. He was a US Army Veteran. Surviving is his wife, Nancy Smith McConkey of the home.
