Charles Leroy Maxwell

    Mr. Charles Leroy Maxwell, 80, of Westwood Lane died Sunday, October 29,2017 at Hinkle Hospice House.   A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Tyro United Methodist Church, where he was a member, conducted by the Rev. Randy Foster. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   Charles was born in Iuka, Mississippi November 1, 1936 to the late John Charles and Ruby Daniels Maxwell. He was a retired supervisor with Duracell Battery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carolyn Maxwell in 2004.   Surviving are sons Chris Maxwell, Harold Maxwell and wife Judy, and Richard Maxwell and wife Sherry all of Lexington. Also surviving are grandchildren Michael Scott Maxwell, Jonathan Charles Maxwell, Andrea Christine Maxwell, and Emily Christina Maxwell, in addition to six great-grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292, or to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 South NC Hwy. 150, Lexington, NC  27295.
