Charles Edward Gibson

Charles Edward “Chuck”,“Hoot” Gibson, 67, of Tyro School Rd. died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center, after a brief illness.  A memorial service will be held at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00PM on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Visitation with the family will follow the service at the funeral home. A Celebration of Chuck’s life will then continue at the home.  Chuck was born in New Albany, Indiana on November 11, 1950 to the late Emmanuel Curtis Gibson and Mattie Ailene Johnson Brown. He was retired from Triumph Actuation Systems, LLC, and was a veteran of The United States Marine Corps. Also predeceasing him were two brothers and two sisters. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his wife, Donna Lee Gibson of the home, sons, Cory Glenn Gibson (Akshata), Charles “Chucky” Gibson (Tonya) and step-son Christopher Ayers; step-daughter Alicia Ayers; brother, Steve Brown (Sue); sister Terry Floyd; and grandchildren Ella Gibson and Camren Ellis. Also surviving is his loyal sidekick Munchkin.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC. 27292.
