Charles Herbert Fleming

Charles Herbert Fleming, 80, a resident of East First Street Extension, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his residence. A graveside service will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Billy Pearson, Jr. officiating. Mr. Fleming was born in Mecklenburg County on December 2, 1928 to the late Arby Fleming and Lettie Isley Bowman Fleming. He was a retired employee of the Furniture industry. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was a brother, Herman Fleming and 2 sisters, Mildred Smith and Ruby Burt. Surviving are two nieces, Judy Harrelson of Garner, and Debra McBee of Lexington. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 6 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the home of his niece, Debra McBee, 1619 Riverside Drive, Lexington.
