Charles Ray Andrews

Charles Ray Andrews, 45, of Ed Rickard Road, went to be with his mother and father in God’s house, where he longed to be, on Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, as the result of a motor vehicle accident on N.C. Highway 150. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Michael McDaniel, Jeff Walser, Doug McGee and Clyde Akers. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Andrews was born April 1, 1961, in Davidson County to William C. Andrews Sr. and Mary Jane Clark Andrews. He was of the Baptist faith and was a self-employed roofer operating as Andrews Roofing. Surviving are his fiancée, Rochelle Rummage of the home; three daughters, Jennifer Andrews, Ashley Andrews and Shanah Hinton, all of Lexington; four sons, Chris Andrews, Kenneth Andrews, David Hinton and Joshua Ward, all of Lexington; two sisters, Frances Saunders and her husband, Norman, of Lexington and Cathy Hicks of Thomasville; three brothers, William C. Andrews Jr. of Lexington, Thomas L. Andrews of Laurinburg and Robert Hicks and his wife, Myrna, of Roanoke, Va.; and one grandchild, Jennifer Claire Edwards. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home.
