Catherine Waller Crook, 88, of Alston Brook, formerly of Moore Drive, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Alston Brook. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Crook was born in Davidson County on May 5, 1920 to the late Arthur Travis Clodfelter and Emma Morton Clodfelter. She retired from Dixie Furniture and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her first husband, John Henry Waller and her second husband Forrest Garland Crook Sr. Also preceding her in death was a son, Arthur Ronald Waller, a son in law, Ronald Wagner, her sisters Mary Mathis and Viola Epley, her brothers, Luke Clodfelter and Clayton Clodfelter, a granddaughter, Jana Wagner Lemly and a great granddaughter, Courtney Lemly. Surviving are her daughter, Janet Waller Wagner of Lexington, her son, James Homer Waller of Lexington, a daughter in law, Brenda Waller of Lexington. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Terry Wagner and his wife Belinda, Susan Leigh Waller, James Michael Waller and his wife Vicky, Rhonda Smith Lankford and her husband Ricky, and Jennifer Charles and her husband Roger, 12 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the home of her daughter, Janet Wagner. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Alston Brook, for their love and care shown to Mrs. Crook, while she was a resident.
