Carolyn Loomis

Carolyn Elizabeth Loomis,77, of N Second Street passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at her home. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Langley officiating services. Burial will be held in the Troutman Family Graveyard in Troutman, NC at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Carolyn was born in Mecklenburg County on December 2, 1944 to the late James Allen and Sarah Katherine Johnston Loomis. She was a retired nursing assistant in the health care profession. She was preceded in death by her grandson, James A. Loomis, III. Surviving are her son, Dana Michael Loomis and wife Lorie of Welcome; grandchildren, Michael A. Loomis, Dylan R. Smith, Nichole Smith, and seventeen other grandchildren.
