Carol Jean Melton

Carol Jean Melton, 73, of Nottingham Drive, died Sunday at her home. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Lexington City Cemetery, with the Rev. Dana Slack officiating. Burial to follow in the city cemetery. Carol was born in Forsyth County on April 6, 1943 to the late Byaum Temple and Stella Boyd Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Allen Melton, Sr. Surviving are sons, Richard Melton, Allen Melton ( Debra) and Daniel Melton all of Lexington; daughters, Jennifer Richardson of Lexington and Robin Trent (Franklin) of Linwood; grandchildren, Kelly Waitman, Carol Ann Trent, Kimberly Leann Trent and Ryan Blackwell, sisters, Nancy Turner of Walkertown and Susan Tews of Denton.
