Carol Ann Leonard

Carol Ann Mallard Leonard, 59, of Old U.S. Highway 64 West, died Saturday, May 6, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Reeds Baptist Church by Dr. David Cook. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Leonard was born Dec. 20, 1946, in Davidson County to Louis Alfred Mallard and Laura Mae Foster Mallard. She was a homemaker and the former secretary at her church. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband, Johnny Wayne Leonard of the home; two daughters, Maria Bivens and Erin Leonard, both of Lexington; two sons, John Leonard of Lexington and Anthony O'Connor Leonard and his wife, Emily, of Salisbury; her mother of Lexington; and three grandchildren, O'Connor Leonard, Laura Bivens and Zachary Bivens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Maria, 4352 Old U.S. Highway 64 West.
