Carlos Ray Shrewsbury

Carlos Ray Shrewsbury, 65, of Becks Church Road, died Monday April 11, 2016 at his home. A memorial service will be at 4:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at God's Banqueting House Carlos was born in Mercer County, West Virginia on September 14, 1950 to the late Hobert Esley Shrewsbury and Nita Rose Wiley Shrewsbury. He was a former supervisor with Lexington Home Brands and of the Baptist faith. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Shrewsbury and Connie Shrewsbury; sister, Sharon Hicks; and grandchildren Donald Lee Williams, Jr. and Ashley Fennell. A hard worker, he was a wonderful husband, dad, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Glenda Ward Shrewsbury of the home; daughters, Carrie Shrewsbury, April Shrewsbury (Shawn Carpenter) and Tonya Williams (Donald) all of Lexington; brothers, Glen Shrewsbury (Maggie) and Creed Shrewsbury (Betty) of Lexington; Blaine Shrewsbury of Princeton, WVA.; brother-in- law, Johnny Hicks of Lexington; grandchildren, Shelly Fennell, Kenneth Fennell,Jr., Collin Shrewsbury, Hobert Williams , Dilan Williams, Ethan Williams, and Billie Hattis, Jr.; and great- grandchild, Liam Fennell.
