Carl Mccray Freeman, Jr.

Carl McCray “Ray” Freeman Jr.,60, of Broadway Road, passed away Sunday at Hinkle Hospice House.  Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday October 12, 2018 at Lexington Pentecostal Church of the Living God, where he was a member, with the Rev. Wayne Lang officiating. A reception will follow after the service in the church fellowship hall.  Carl was born in Guilford County on September 4, 1958 to the late Carl McCray Freeman, Sr. and Melba Bachelor Freeman. He was a maintenance supply salesman for Lawson Products Inc. He was preceded in death by his half sister, Patricia Frost.  Surviving is his wife, Marie Parsons Freeman of the home, daughters, Charity P. Steele (Gene) of Columbus, NC, Faith C. Barber (Jon) of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas, half brother, Tony C. Upchurch (Marilyn) of Reston, Va., sisters, Carla Freeman Odette of Winston Salem, grandchildren, Elizabeth H. Norville, Mirande Julian (Jeremy), Angel Vinson (Laredo), Jonathan M. Barber, Darrell M. Barber and Hayden Michael Barber, great-grandchildren, Neveah Jade Vinson, Noah Loyce Vinson, Oakley Wrenn McDowell, Braylin Matthew Julian and Grayson McCray Julian. Also surviving are niece, Brittany King (Scott) of Wallburg.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Lexington Pentecostal Church of the Living God, 1214 S. Salisbury St., Lexington,NC 27292.
