Bonnie Lou Giles

Bonnie Lou Watson Giles,71, of Giles Road, passed away Friday at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte. A memorial service for Bonnie and her late husband Walter will be held 3:00 PM Sunday June 27, 2021 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where they both were members, with Pastor Jennifer Ginn officiating. All other times the family will be at home of Brittiany and Ryan Wilson, 164 Pineland Ave., Lexington, NC 27295. Bonnie was born in Watauga County on May 18, 1950 to the late Howard Watson and Betty Harmon Webb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, son, Paul Marshall and brother, Lewis Watson Surviving are her sons, Walter Dermont Giles, Jr. (Bobbi), Nicholas Adam Giles all of Lexington, and David Watson (Pamela) of Herndon, Va., daughter, Betty Albertine Giles of Lexington; sisters, Angie Roberson of Oakton, Va., Sheryl Thomas (Dwayne) of Cana, Va. brother, Shane Watson (Christie) of Mt. Airy, grandchildren, Thomas Caudle, Brittiany Wilson (Ryan), Tyler Crotts, Tan Giles, Emily Giles and Audrey Giles, great-grandchildren, Skylynn Wilson and Noah Wilson, honorary grandchildren, Walker and Malan Fritts and numerous nieces and nephews. In lie of flowers memorials may be may at St. Luike's Lutheran Church, 4299 South NC Highway 150, Lexington, NC 27295.
