Bobby Carlton Owens

Bobby Carlton Owens ,79, of Becky Hill Road, died Tuesday July 4, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday July 6, 2017 at Friendship United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Doug Pryor and the Rev. Pat Marion officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Owens was born in Davidson County on June 18, 1938 to the late Robert Owens and Polly Williams Owens. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dalford Owens and sister, Hazel Essick. He was a retired foreman with Lexington Furniture Industries with 41 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Annelle Owens of the home, sons, Tony Owens (Gayla) and Jeffrey Owens (Shelley) of Lexington, sister in law, Gerry Owens of Lexington, grandchildren, Jason (Misty), Brooke, Zachary and Kendra, great- grandchildren Erin and Bently.
