Bobby Oakley

Robert Eugene Oakley Sr., 51, of Shando Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be at a later date. He was born Nov. 3, 1958, in Davidson County to Richard McKinley Oakley and Minnie Marie Michael Oakley. Mr. Oakley worked in contruction as a stone mason and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Lexington Community Church. Also preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were four brothers, Farlon Oakley, Terry Oakley, Dan Hinson, and Paul Hill Jr. He is survived by one son, Robert "Bobby" Eugene Oakley Jr. of Lexington; three sisters, Wendy Jones, Mitzi McBride and Peggy Yountz; and three brothers, Toby Oakley, Doody Hinson and Bill Hinson, all of Lexington. Also surviving is a special friend, Martha Jean Diebold of Lexington.
