Bobbie Wrenn Helmstetler

Mrs. Bobbie Jean Wrenn Helmstetler, 83, of Shoaf Street, died Friday, May 27, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, June 1, at Second Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Brian Rummage. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm Wednesday at the Church prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Helmstetler was born November 26, 1932 in Davidson County to Raymond Nathaniel Wrenn and Mada Grace Hill Wrenn. She was a graduate of Linwood High School and retired from First Union National Bank. She was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder and treasurer for the Women of the church. Her husband, Thomas C. Helmstetler, her brother, Raymond Hill Wrenn, and her sisters, Frances Hedrick and Fay Yarborough, preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Tad Helmstetler of Lexington, and her brother, Thomas Franklin Wrenn and wife, Rossilea, of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1334, Lexington NC 27293. A very special thank you to her caregiver, Patsy Byerly for her loving care and support for the past three years-not only to Bobbie, but her family as well.
