Blanche Virginia Griffin

Mrs. Blanche Virginia Garner "Ginny" Griffin, age 81, of Numa Byerly Road, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 1:24 AM in the Hospice Home at High Point. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Friday from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. James Messer. A committal service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Mrs. Griffin was born in Randolph County, NC on January 23, 1927 to the late Julius Cicero Garner and Edith Daphne Ruth Garner. She was a retired employee of the Waffle House and attended Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Archie Ruben Griffin; he died March 28, 1989. Surviving are special friends, Bill and Cindi Moorefield of Lexington, Billy and Sabrina Crouse and their children, Brianna, Payton and Hunter. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM Thursday. Her friends would like to thank the Hospice Home at High Point, the Hospice of the Piedmont and Davidson County Senior Services for their love and care shown to Ginny during her illness.
