Billy Herman Yarbrough, 73, of Vanmar Drive, went to be with his Lord, on Monday, June 22, 2009 at Lexington Memorial Hospital, after declining health for 9 months. Mr. Yarbrough was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he loved playing his steel guitar for the Lord and reading the Bible. He enjoyed helping others and was loved dearly by his family. He was retired from Stratford Tool & Die with over 30 years of service. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in the Promise Land Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Yarbrough was born February 15, 1936, in Davidson County to the late Herman Vestal Yarbrough and Mae Lovell Yarbrough. Also preceded him in death was his brother Benny Lee Yarbrough. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Nancy Curry Yarbrough of the home, one daughter Terri Kiger and her husband Chris of Lexington. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tara Smith and her husband Benji, Keisha Day and her husband Paul, and Kimberly Lebeau and her husband Timmy. One sister Linda Beck and her husband Bryce of Lexington. One very special pet, his dog, Lexie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home, June 23, and other times at the home of the daughter Terri Kiger, 463 Foxcroft Drive. Lexington.
