Billy Cathell Tussey

Billy Cathell Tussey, 82, of Greensboro Street Ext. died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be held Friday November 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lexington City Cemetery by Pastor Darrell Cox. The family will receive friends at the home. Mr. Tussey was born in Davidson County September 7, 1932. He was a self-employed furniture maker with Tussey’s Pine Shop, and of the Christian faith. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Betty Jean Bates Tussey of the home; son Tony Tussey, Sr.; grandson Tony Tussey, Jr. and wife Wendy; great-grandson, Dalton Tussey; brothers Lonnie and David Briggs and Bruce and Dwayne Byerly; and sisters Erlene Crotts, Barbara Yarborough, and Judy Charles all of Lexington. Also surviving is his beloved canine companion, Snook.
