Billy Clinton Potts, 80 of John Lookabill Road, died Friday at Hinkle Hospice House. A family gathering will be held from 1-6 P.M. Sunday October 25, 2015 at the home of his daughter, at 729 Young Road, Lexington,NC. Mr. Potts donated his body for medical research to the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Mr. Potts was born in Davie County on February 24, 1935 to the late Willie Potts and Inez Boyd Potts. He was a retired truck driver for JP Stevens. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Wayne Potts. Surviving are his wife of 42 years Hazel Gibby Potts of the home; daughter, Debbie Potts Whitehead (Mark) of Lexington; grandchildren, Billy Gray Weaver (Kelly) of Lexington; Joseph Lee Weaver,US Navy, San Diego, Ca.; great grandchild, Camden Gray Weaver of Lexington; special nephew, Chris Young (Jody) of Churchland.
