Billy James Perrell

Billy James Perrell, 85, of Lexington passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at 2 PM with Pastor Gerald Bingham officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 PM at the funeral home. Billy was born August 28, 1937 to Reuben Silas Perrell and Stamie York Perrell. In his early years, he was a brick mason and continued this trade throughout most of his working career. Later, he was employed with Davidson County Community College where he retired after 26 years of service. He, also, was a faithful member of Yadkin College Baptist Church where he served numerous positions over the years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition, to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Juanita Huffman Perrell of the home, two sons, Billy Joe (Tonia), of Inman, SC and Keith (Rosalie) of Winston Salem; two granddaughters, Meredith Phillips (Johnson) of Lexington and Rebecca Semones (Curtis) of Pfafftown; brothers York Perrell of Mocksville, Johnny (Ruth) of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Mike (Vickie) of Welcome; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Yadkin College Baptist Church, 1259 N. Koontz Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
