Bill Hedrick

William Lee “Bill” Hedrick, 62, of Abbid St. passed away Monday morning at Forsyth Medical Center after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 at New Testament Baptist Church with Chaplain Doug Evans of Forsyth Medical Center officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home. He was born December 31, 1947 in Davidson County to the late McCoy A. and Gennette Goins Hedrick. He was preceded in death by a brother Bob Hedrick, and sister Collene Grant. He was a former machinist with Parkdale Mills and a member of New Testament Baptist Church. Mr. Hedrick was an avid sportsman and past president of the Linwood Booster’s Club, having coached many of the Linwood teams. He is survived by his wife Ann Morphis Hedrick of the home; one son Lee Hedrick of Lexington; two daughters Dawn Hedrick and Charlotte Hedrick Baker both of Lexington; brother James Sims and wife O.T.; sisters Doris Burleson and husband Delmar, and Lucille Wilson; and brother-in-law Paul Grant all of Lexington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and one grandson, Steven Baker.
