Betty Jean Tussey

Betty Jean Bates Tussey, 95, of Lexington passed away Thursday June 26, 2025 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday July 1 at Piedmont Funeral Home, Timberlake Chapel, with the Rev Mark Rachels officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Betty was born in Davidson County to the late Riley Cathell Bates and Bessie Everhart Bates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Tussey, son, Tony Tussey, Sr., brothers, Charles Bates, Riley E Bates, Jr., Tommy Bates, Donald Bates and Brantley Bates, sisters, Sis S Moore and Hank Tetter.

Surviving is her grandson, Tony Tussey, Jr. and wife Wendy, great- grandson, Dalton Tussey.
