Betty Jean Tilley

Betty Jean Hanes Tilley, 69, of Buie Bodenheimer Road died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her home.  A funeral service will be Monday at 1:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Harold Fletcher. Entombment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Tilley was born in Davidson County March 4, 1949 to the late Garland and Josie Lou Huffman Hanes. A homemaker, she was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Charles D. Tilley on July 9, 2015, and a sister Peggy Lou Hanes Epley. She was of the Baptist faith.  Surviving are son Jeffrey Dee Tilley of the home; daughter, Regina Tilley Stone and husband Mickey of Thomasville; grandchildren Tyler Stone of The United States Air Force and fiance’ McClellan Brown, and Amber Prater and husband Billy; and great-grandson Caleb Prater.  Also surviving are brother Willie Ray Hanes and wife Pam of Lexington.
