HEADING: HEADING: Betty Joyce Jordan Betty Joyce Jordan 71 of East 9th Street Ext. died Thursday October 27,2011 at her home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday November 3,2011 at Welcome Church of God with the Rev. Alvin Everhart and the Rev. Michael Kearns officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Betty was born May 6,1940 in Madison,Tennessee to the late Warren Jordan and Mary Denny Jordan. She was preceded in death by brothers; Charles Jordan and Raymond Jordan, a sister; Frances James. She was a member of Welcome Church of God and also a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. Surviving are sister; Shirley Martin and husband Richard of Thomasville.
