Betty Jean Brown Crotts, 80, of Walford Street, died Sunday at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, With the Rev. Maston Love officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Crotts was born in Davie County on July 18, 1932, to the late Wesley Brown and Bessie Ezora Brindle Brown. She was a retired employee of Link Taylor Furniture. She was preceded in death by her companion Curtis Wade Drinnon, brothers, William Brown, Joe Brown and Wesley Brindle, sister, Annie Mae Brown. Surviving are, sons, Kenneth Motley, Timothy Motley, Martin Motley and Christopher Crotts all of Lexington; daughter, Vanessa Keith of Lexington; grandchildren, Miranda, Misty, Alison, Lindsay, Melissa, Justin, Joshua and Daniel, six great grandsons and one great granddaughter, brother, Larry Brindle of Lexington; sister, Dorothy Hill of Lexington; Also surviving is “Tweety” a very special friend and neighbor.
