Berley Elwood Adams

Berley Elwood Adams, 73 a resident of Westwood Drive, Lexington, died October 12, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center of Winston-Salem after declining health. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Wade Powell and Rev. James Huneycutt officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Adams was born October 15, 1936 in Yadkin County NC to the late Allen Elwood Adams, and Lelia Mae York Adams. Also preceding him in death was a son Brent Adams. He was a retired Fork Lift Operator for Hanes Brands. He was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Joanne Adams of the home; 3 daughters Robin Wilson of the home, Theresa Cranfill of Booneville, NC and Frances Wilkins of Linwood; 3 sons, James Adams and his wife Melissa of Lexington, Brian Willard of Greenwood SC, and Darrell Holt and his wife Shirley of Thomasville; 3 sisters, Mae Cassteven of Rhonda, NC, Louella Davis and Joan Blevins of Jonesville, NC; 19 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home, on October 16, 2010.
