Mr. Bayard Hoyle Sink, 94, and Elizabeth Anne Allen Sink, 90, married for 64 years, passed away on Saturday, April 22, a few hours apart at Hinkle Hospice House and Lexington Medical Center, respectively. A funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Sink will be held at 3pm Wednesday, April 26 at the Timberlake Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home by the Revs. Chip Webb and Jerry Webb. Burial will follow at Reeds United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home. Mr. Sink was born July 19, 1928 in Davidson County to Bayard Franklin Sink and Sadie Jane Craver Sink. He retired from the Merchant Marines and also worked at Fiber Industries in Salisbury. Mrs. Sink was born January 16, 1933 in Davidson County to Elisha Allen and Sarah Anne Easter Allen. She retired from PPG. Mr. and Mrs. Sink were longtime members of Reeds United Methodist Church. Their son, Tony Franklin Sink, preceded them in death. They are survived by their sons, Bayard Hoyle “Buddy” Sink, Jr, (Phyllis) of Lexington, and Thomas David Sink (Marianne) of Cape Coral, FL; their grandchildren, Holly Kirkendall, Tonya Walser, Jason Sink, and Tracy Sink; five great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
