Barbara Ann Threatt

October 17, 1953 — June 25, 2025

Barbara Ann Threatt, 71, of Lexington, North Carolina, entered her heavenly home on June 25, 2025, after a life beautifully and selflessly lived. Born on October 17, 1953, in Surry County, Barbara was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a steadfast friend to many.

A woman of fierce love and unshakable strength, Barbara – affectionately known as Granny, Barbara, or Nana – was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without a second thought.  Her unwavering compassion extended not only to people, but also to the many animals she adored throughout her life.  Her heart was open and her presence a constant source of comfort and joy to those lucky enough to know her.

Barbara never sought the spotlight, yet her humor, warmth and generosity made her unforgettable.  She was known for her deep sense of service – always putting others first and stepping up when someone was in need.  And while she may not have liked being the center of attention, she lit up every room she walked into with her no-nonsense wit and loving spirit.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vivian and Gracie Lee Billings, as well as her siblings Betty Daughtery and Willie Billings.  She leaves behind her devoted husband, Jamie Threatt; her siblings Charlie Billings, Wanda Southern, and Brenda Billings; and her beloved children, Jeffrey Billings, Mark (Tina) Billings, Lynn (JJ) Iselin, and Robert (Kelli) Cross.  Her legacy continues through her four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her memory with them always.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at The Journey Church of High Point, 2426 Gordon Road, High Point, NC 27265 from 6 to 8 p.m. where family and friends will gather to honor her enduring impact on our hearts.

Barbara Ann Threatt’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and service.  She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in every act of kindness we offer, just as she would have done.
