Barbara Thompson

Barbara Tysinger Thompson, 79, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, March 7, 2011 at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington by the Rev. Brian Alexander. Barbara was born August 7, 1931 in Davidson County to the late Carvey Jasper and Elva Lohr Tysinger. She was a retired contract specialist with Western Electric Company in Winston-Salem and loved Carolina basketball and the outdoor downtown music concerts held in Winston-Salem on weekends. She loved her grandchildren and will be missed. We love her with all our hearts! She is survived by two sons, David R. “Randy” Thompson and wife Cindy, and Donald C. “Chuck” Thompson, Jr. all of Winston-Salem. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Chelsie Marie and Joshua R. Thompson of Winston-Salem, and a sister, Agnus Taylor of Lexington.
