Barbara Beck Scarlett

Barbara Beck Scarlett, 63, a resident of New Cut Road, Lexington, died June 24, 2009 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, in Winston-Salem, after a serious illness of 3 weeks. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM., Friday, June 26, at Liberty Baptist Church, Thomasville, NC with the Rev. David Bowman. Interment will be in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Scarlett was born August 14, 1945 in Davidson County to the late Claude Oscar Beck and Amy Kines Beck. She was owner/operator of Lexington Beauty Shop and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mrs. Scarlett attended Western Carolina College and was a graduate of Salisbury Beauty College.. Surviving is her husband Jimmy D. Scarlett of the home, two sons Tim Scarlett and his wife Donna, and Jeff Scarlett and his wife Jo, all of Lexington. Also surviving is a sister Betty Dye and her husband Sonny of Lexington, and three grandchildren, Sara, Josiah and Marianne Scarlett., The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home on New Cut Road.
